St. Andrews Heights is a neighbourhood within Calgary, Alberta, which is situated in the Greater Calgary metropolitan area.

Transportation

St. Andrews Heights affords property owners several alternative means of transportation. The public transit network in this part of the city is practical. Rapid transit stations, such as Banff Trail Station with access to the Red Line - Somerset - Bridlewood/Tuscany CTrain, are not particularly far from the bulk of properties in the neighbourhood. The neighbourhood is linked by approximately 10 bus lines, and the closest bus stop is usually around the corner. Walking is also moderately practical for property owners in St. Andrews Heights; running daily errands is convenient without a vehicle, and a fair number of businesses of different types can be found as well. Physically active house buyers will value the bicycling-friendly nature of this part of Calgary. In particular, the bicycling network is reasonably good.

This area is reasonably quiet overall, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic - although that is not the case near the airport (Calgary (Foothills Hospital) Heliport). Lastly, it is very easy to reach green spaces in the neighbourhood since there are around 40 of them close by for residents to discover.

Housing

About 60% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home while renters make up the remainder. Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing about two thirds of buildings in this part of the city, whereas the rest are mainly small apartment buildings.
