Part of the Greater Kamloops metropolitan area, Sahali is a community within Kamloops, British Columbia.

Transportation

Driving is very often the favoured method to move around in Sahali. It is very convenient to park, and the majority of properties for sale are a rather short drive from the nearest highway, such as columbia street west. In contrast, the public transit service in Sahali is not very frequent. Nevertheless, there are around 10 bus lines traversing the community, and it is very easy to find a nearby bus stop from most properties. Sahali is reasonably bike-friendly. Most homes for sale in this community are located in areas that are not particularly well-suited for people who prefer to get around by walking since running daily errands is occasionally difficult without a vehicle.

Services

Daycares and schools are easy to access without a car from anywhere in Sahali. Families are served by public and private schools at both the elementary and secondary school level. As far as eating is concerned, getting to the closest grocery store by walking is feasible for some, but not all, house buyers in this area. There are also a few choices for those who value restaurants and cafes in close proximity.

Character

Sahali offers a slower-paced atmosphere and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time outdoors. There are around 10 parks nearby for residents to relax in, such as Peterson Creek Nature Park and Gleneagles Park, and they are very well-distributed, making them very easy to access. This community is quiet overall, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic - however some areas can be quite noisy, especially closer to highway 5a or columbia street west.

Housing

In Sahali, about 40% of dwellings are single detached homes, while small apartment buildings are also present in the housing stock. Around 45% of homes in this community were constructed between 1960 and 1980, while most of the remaining buildings were built in the 1980s and the 1990s.
