Aldergrove

Part of the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area, Aldergrove is a neighbourhood within Township of Langley, British Columbia.

Transportation

Driving is a reasonably good transportation option in Aldergrove. It is convenient to park. However, Aldergrove is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most properties. Aldergrove is not especially conducive to pedestrians because few common errands can be run without needing a vehicle. The bicycle is a somewhat poor mode of transportation in this neighbourhood as there are a fair number of hills to challenge cyclists, and there are few bike lanes.

Services

Schools and daycares are convenient to access without a vehicle from most homes for sale in Aldergrove. Parents benefit from public and private schools at both the primary and secondary school level. Concerning eating, it is very easy to get to the closest grocery store without a car in Aldergrove. Residents are served by about 30 restaurants and cafes as well.

Character

The character of Aldergrove is exemplified by its relaxed ambience. It is easy to reach public green spaces in the neighbourhood since there are about 20 of them close by for residents to check out. This part of Township of Langley is very quiet overall, as the streets are generally especially tranquil.

Housing

In Aldergrove, about 45% of buildings are single detached homes, but small apartment buildings and duplexes are also present in the housing stock. Around one third of properties in this part of Township of Langley were built between 1960 and 1980, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1980s and the 1990s. This neighbourhood offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. About three quarters of the population of this neighbourhood own their home whereas the remainder are renters.
