White Rock is a neighbourhood within White Rock, British Columbia, which is situated in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

Walking is fairly practical for residents in White Rock; running common errands is convenient without a vehicle. In contrast, biking is occasionally difficult in this area because bicycling is made strenuous by the typically steep topography, and there are few bike lanes. Travelling by transit can be at times difficult in White Rock by reason of the low service level. Nevertheless, there are around 10 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most houses. On the other hand, cars are a fairly good transportation option in White Rock. It is easy to access a place to park.

Services

Daycares and schools are very easy to get to as a pedestrian from most houses for sale in White Rock. Parents can choose between public and private schools at both the primary and high school level. With regards to food, a supermarket is usually reachable within a short stroll from anywhere in this part of the city. Johnston Road is among the best streets for groceries. Likewise, a cafe is commonly just around the corner, and residents of White Rock are served by about 40 restaurants as well.

The character of White Rock is exemplified by its slower-paced environment. Roughly 30% of properties in this neighbourhood were built between 1960 and 1980, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1980s and the 1990s. This neighbourhood also has a good selection of unit sizes; it is quite easy to find houses ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms.
