The neighbourhood of Deer Ridge is part of the municipality of West Vancouver, British Columbia, which is located in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

The favoured way to move around in Deer Ridge is very often a car. It is a very short drive to the closest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway, from any home in Deer Ridge, and parking is easy. However, commuting by public transit is very hard in this area. Nonetheless, residents are served by a few bus lines. Cycling is very difficult in this neighbourhood as the bicycling infrastructure is quite poor, and there is a considerable amount of slopes. Deer Ridge is also not very conducive to those who get around as pedestrians since very few daily needs can be carried out without a vehicle.

Services

Parents and their children will find that no matter where their house is situated in Deer Ridge, both primary and secondary schools are nearby. At the elementary level, there are both public and private schools. However, there are only a few daycares and consequently they can be a long distance away. As far as eating is concerned, it is very rarely feasible for house buyers in Deer Ridge to do their groceries by walking.
