Part of the Greater Truro metropolitan area, Debert is a neighbourhood within Colchester Subdivision B, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

Driving is very often the favoured transportation option in this neighbourhood. It is especially convenient to come across a place to park. Bicycling is challenging in this part of the subdivision of a county municipality since the topography is not particularly flat, and there are very few bike lanes. This neighbourhood is also not very conducive to people who get around by walking as many daily needs are nearly impossible to carry out without a car.

Services

Shopping for one's groceries very often demands the use of a vehicle in Debert. Concerning education, there are only a very small number of primary schools in this neighbourhood and accordingly they can be a very long stroll away. Moreover, Debert does not contain any high schools.

Debert offers a calm environment. Most areas in Debert are especially quiet, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic closer to Highway 104, the airport (Debert Airport) or the railway line.
