Part of the Greater Halifax metropolitan area, Africville is a neighbourhood within Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

Cars are a great transportation option in Africville. The majority of houses for sale are a reasonably short drive from the closest highway, and it is very convenient to park. On the other hand, Africville is not very transit friendly. Thankfully, there are about 10 bus lines, and the closest bus stop is usually around the corner. Biking is easy in this area. However, traveling as a pedestrian is not very popular in Africville, although running daily errands is easy without the use of a car.

Services

A vehicle is generally required in this area to access the nearest supermarket. On the other hand, a cafe is typically a rather short walk away, and there are approximately 10 restaurants in this neighbourhood. When it comes to education, schools and daycares are convenient to get to on foot from most properties for sale in Africville.

Character

The character of Africville is exemplified by its relaxed ambience. The majority of locations in the neighbourhood have reasonably good access to public green spaces, including Look Off Park, since there are a few of them close by for residents to explore. This area is quiet overall, as the streets are quite peaceful.
