Porters Lake

The community of Porters Lake can be found in the municipality of Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is located in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

The favoured transportation option in Porters Lake is very often a car. Most real estate listings are a reasonably short car ride from the nearest highway, and it is especially convenient to park. In contrast, the public transit service in Porters Lake is not very frequent. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines traversing the community, and bus stops are typically very close by. The bicycle is a fairly poor method of transportation in this area as the cycling network is not very extensive, and riding is made arduous by the typically hilly area. Porters Lake is also not very well-suited for those who get around on foot as many daily needs are challenging to carry out without a car.
