Part of the Greater Halifax metropolitan area, Spry Bay is a community within Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

Driving is a great transportation option in this part of the municipality. It is very easy to park. A majority of the homes for sale in this part of the municipality are located in places that are not very suitable for those who travel as pedestrians as almost no daily errands can be run without needing to get in a vehicle. Spry Bay is also not very conducive to biking as the bicycling network is not very extensive, and there are a good number of elevation changes.

Services

Buying one's groceries very often demands the use of a car in this part of the municipality. In terms of education, there are no high schools and no primary schools in this community.

Character

People who prefer a calm ambience will enjoy Spry Bay. Spry Bay is reasonably quiet overall, as the streets are generally quite peaceful. Accessing green spaces from a large number of locations within the community, including Taylor Head Provincial Park, is rather difficult since they aren't well-situated. Despite that, there are a few parks nearby for residents to visit.
