The community of Tangier is part of the municipality of Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is located in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

Travelling by car is especially convenient in Tangier. It is very easy to find a place to park. Walking is not very feasible for property owners in Tangier because running common errands is very impractical without needing a vehicle. The bike is a quite poor means of transportation in this area as there are a good number of slopes, and the bicycling network is not very well-developed.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in Tangier. When it comes to food, it is very rarely possible for property owners in this part of the municipality to travel to the nearest supermarket by walking.

Character

Tangier is a good community to buy a home in for those who prefer a slower-paced environment. Tangier is quiet overall, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour.
