Inch Park

The neighbourhood of Inch Park is part of the city of Hamilton, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Hamilton metropolitan area.

Transportation

Inch Park will appeal to house buyers that value various modes of transportation. The reasonably good public transit system makes transit a viable option for many by reason of about 20 nearby bus lines. It is also easy for pedestrians to navigate this part of the city; meeting daily needs is convenient without a vehicle, and a fair number of businesses of different types can be found as well. This neighbourhood is not especially amenable to cycling as the bicycling network is sometimes poor, and there are a good number of slopes to challenge cyclists.

Services

Accessing the nearest supermarket without a car is practical for some, but not all, property owners in this part of the city. However, a restaurant is often just around the corner, and a limited selection of cafes is available as well. With respect to education, in this area, families will usually be able to reach daycares and primary schools by foot. In contrast, parents may find it challenging for their children to get to high schools by walking. Apart from public schools, there are private primary and secondary schools.

Character

Inch Park is a fairly good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a calm environment. This area is quiet, as there are low levels of noise from traffic. Lastly, most locations in the neighbourhood have fairly good access to parks, including Bruce Trail Park and Sackville Hill Memorial Park, since there are about 20 of them close by for residents to check out and reaching a park from many houses for sale is very easy.

Housing

Roughly 80% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and 20% are renters. Single detached homes and townhouses are the main housing type in this neighbourhood. This part of the city experienced its most significant building boom pre-1960, so most of the available properties are from this time period. This area offers mainly two bedroom and three bedroom homes.
