The neighbourhood of Summit is part of the city of Hamilton, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Hamilton metropolitan area.

Transportation

Cars are an excellent mode of transportation in Summit. It is a very short drive to the nearest highway, such as Highway 403, from anywhere in Summit, and it is very easy to access a parking spot. A majority of the homes for sale in this area are located in places that are not very suitable for those who get around as pedestrians as very few common errands can be run without a car. The bike is a rather poor mode of transportation in Summit as the cycling infrastructure is not very well-developed, and cyclists are faced with quite a few slopes.

Services

Shopping for one's groceries usually necessitates the use of a car in this neighbourhood. Regarding education, there are no high schools and no primary schools in this area.

Character

The character of Summit is exemplified by its relaxed ambience. Summit is reasonably quiet, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue - although that is not the case around Highway 403.
