Part of the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, Centre is a neighbourhood within Brampton, Ontario.

Transportation

Centre will attract homeowners that value a variety of methods of transportation. Owing to about 10 nearby bus lines, the transit infrastructure in this part of the city is reasonably good. It is also easy for pedestrians to get around in this neighbourhood; many daily needs are convenient to carry out without a car, and a variety of businesses are rather close at hand. It is easy to commute by bike in Centre because the cycling infrastructure is reasonably good.

Services

Parents and their children will appreciate the proximity to schools and daycares, which are within walking distance from vast majority properties for sale in this neighbourhood. At the primary level, there are both public and private schools. With respect to food, it is very easy to reach the closest supermarket as a pedestrian in this part of the city. Likewise, Centre is a good place in which to eat out, and a limited variety of cafes is available as well.

Character

Centre offers a slower-paced atmosphere and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time outdoors. This neighbourhood is very quiet, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic. Lastly, there are about 20 public green spaces close by for residents to enjoy, such as Valleybrook Park and Duggan Park, and they are very well-situated, which makes them very easy to access.

Housing

Around 20% of buildings are townhouses, making it easy to find townhouses in Centre, but large apartment buildings, small apartment buildings, and single detached homes are also present in the housing stock. This neighbourhood experienced its largest construction boom in the 1960s and 1970s, so most of the available housing is from this time period. This area has a good choice of unit sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. Around two thirds of the properties in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners while the rest are rented.
