The neighbourhood of Core can be found in the city of Mississauga, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

Core will appeal to house buyers that appreciate a diversity of means of transportation. Owing to various nearby rapid transit stations on the Meadowvale Express and University Express, and approximately 30 nearby bus lines, Core has a very good transit system. This neighbourhood will also appeal to people who value being able to walk everywhere as it is very walkable; many daily needs can be met without the need to use a car, and there are also a fair number of businesses close by. Cycling is convenient in Core as there are a fair number of bike lanes.

Services

Daycares and schools are very convenient to reach on foot from anywhere in Core. Besides public schools, there are private elementary and high schools. With respect to food, it is very easy to reach both a general and a specialty grocery store as a pedestrian from most houses for sale in Core. Additionally, there is often a restaurant or cafe just around the corner.

Character

Despite the somewhat busy feel, there are a lot of green spaces to enjoy in Core. Green spaces, such as Mississauga Valley Park and Huron Heights Park, are especially well-spread out and there are over 50 of them close by for residents to check out, which makes them very easy to get to. Finally, many parts of Core is quite quiet, however noise can be an issue around Highway 403.

Housing

The proportions of renters and homeowners are about even. Large apartment buildings are the predominant housing type, representing almost all buildings in this neighbourhood, whereas the remainder are mainly single detached homes. Most of the housing growth in this part of the city has happened after the year 2000. There is a higher proportion of two bedroom homes in this area.
