Eringate

Part of the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, Eringate is a neighbourhood within Toronto, Ontario.

Transportation

The car is very often the best transportation option in Eringate. Coming across a place to park is easy, and most properties for sale are a very short car ride from the nearest highway, such as Highway 401. The transit access in Eringate is also fairly good. Commuters can depend on Renforth Station East Platform 7 and Renforth Station West Platform 1 on the Meadowvale Express. The neighbourhood is linked by around 20 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most properties. Eringate is not particularly amenable to biking as there are few bike lanes. Nonetheless, it is a flat ride to most destinations, and biking is more practical in some pockets than others. Eringate is also not especially well-suited for those who like to travel on foot as common amenities such as post offices or banks can be an occasionally long distance away.

Services

Families will appreciate that wherever their property is situated in Eringate, schools and daycares are nearby. At the secondary level, there are both public and private schools. With respect to food, it is frequently feasible for house buyers in this part of the city to buy groceries without the need to get in a car. This area remains relatively quiet, thanks to the presence of few pedestrians; however noise levels are higher closer to Highway 401 or Highway 427.

Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing roughly 55% of buildings in Eringate, whereas the remainder are mainly large apartment buildings. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy around 85% of the units in Eringate and 15% are rented. A majority of the housing growth in this part of Toronto happened in the 1960s and 1970s.
