Part of the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, Hornby is a neighbourhood within Halton Hills, Ontario.

Transportation

Hornby is especially car friendly. It is very convenient to park, and the majority of the street infrastructure is conducive to driving. On the other hand, commuting by transit can be difficult in Hornby as a result of the low service level. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is linked by a few bus lines, and most homes are very close to a bus stop. Traveling by walking in this neighbourhood is not very popular, although many day-to-day errands can be run without a car. Hornby is not very suited for biking since the bicycling network is fairly poor. Nevertheless, there are not many hills to challenge bike riders, and cycling is more practical in certain areas than others.

Services

It is very rarely feasible for property owners in Hornby to do their grocery shopping by walking. Nevertheless, pharmacies are generally very easy to access without a car and sell some staple foods. There are also approximately 20 restaurants and coffee shops in Hornby. Regarding education, there are only a few primary schools in this part of the town and consequently they can be an extended distance away. In addition, this area does not contain any high schools. In addition, there are only a very small number of daycares and consequently they can be a very long stroll away.

Character

There is a wide variety of green spaces in Hornby. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.
