Travelling by bicycle is difficult in this part of Kingston because there are very few bike lanes, and the area is not especially flat. It is also very challenging for pedestrians to move around in Ravensview as almost no common errands can be run without a car.

There are no high schools and no primary schools in Ravensview. Concerning food, shopping for one's groceries very often necessitates the use of a vehicle in this part of the city.

The character of Ravensview is exemplified by its calm ambience. Ravensview is very quiet, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue.
