Northward is also amenable to bicycling. The transit network in this part of the city is not particularly practical. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is usually around the corner. However, the best way to navigate Northward is very often driving. Many houses for sale are a very short car ride from the nearest highway, such as Highway 85, and it is very easy to access a place to park.

Services

However, high schools are not very abundant and accordingly may require an extended distance to get to. At the primary level, there are both public and private schools. In terms of eating, a fraction of home buyers in Northward may have the option to buy groceries by foot, while others will have to use a vehicle. Character

Northward is a fairly good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a slower-paced atmosphere. The noise levels in this part of Kitchener are low, as the streets tend to be peaceful - although there are still several noisier sections, especially closer to Highway 85 Collector, Highway 85 or the railway line. Lastly, there are about 20 green spaces nearby for residents to unwind in, including Paige Park and Springwood Park, and they are especially well-situated, resulting in them being very easy to reach from the majority of locations within the neighbourhood.

Housing

In Northward, around 60% of buildings are single detached homes, while large apartment buildings and small apartment buildings are also present in the housing stock. This neighbourhood offers mainly two bedroom and three bedroom homes. The proportions of renters and homeowners are about even. This part of Kitchener experienced its main building boom pre-1960, so most of the available properties are from this era.
