Rockway is a neighbourhood within Kitchener, Ontario, which is located in the Kitchener - Cambridge - Waterloo metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is a great transportation option in Rockway. It is a very short car ride to the closest highway, such as Highway 7, from any location in Rockway, and it is very easy to park. In contrast, commuting by transit can be occasionally challenging in Rockway by reason of the infrequent service. Nonetheless, the nearest rapid transit station, such as Mill Station and Borden Station on the ION Light Rail, is ordinarily relatively close by from the majority of homes in the neighbourhood. The neighbourhood is connected by approximately 10 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most houses. Walking is not very popular in this neighbourhood, although running common errands is easy without a car. Rockway is also not particularly conducive to bicycling because riding is rendered arduous by the typically sloping area, and the cycling infrastructure is sometimes poor. Thankfully, a few bike-friendly sectors can be found, and families often choose to move around by bike.

Lastly, this part of Kitchener can be rather noisy, as traffic during busy hours can occasionally be bothersome.
