Transportation

The car is very often the favoured method to navigate Highbury. It is very easy to park, and the majority of real estate listings are a very short car ride from the closest highway, such as Highway 401. On the other hand, travelling by transit can be very difficult in this part of the city by reason of the service's low frequency. Nevertheless, residents have access to a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most properties. Biking is difficult in Highbury since the bicycling network is not very extensive. Nevertheless, some bike-friendly pockets exist, and there are a limited number of slopes to challenge cyclists. Highbury is also not very suitable for pedestrians because running day-to-day errands is impractical without needing to use a car.

Services

With regards to food, buying one's groceries very often demands the use of a vehicle in Highbury. Residents benefit from a few restaurants and coffee shops.

Character

Highbury offers a great variety of green spaces to enjoy. Getting to public green spaces is very easy in the neighbourhood, since there are a few of them close by for residents to explore and the majority of homes have a park a short distance away. This part of London is an excellent area for those who don't mind some noise, as traffic can occasionally be loud during rush hour.

Housing

Homeowners occupy nearly 90% of the units in the neighbourhood whereas renters occupy the remainder. Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing the overwhelming majority of buildings in this part of the city. Roughly half of properties in this neighbourhood were constructed after the year 2000, while many of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1990s. There is a higher proportion of three bedroom homes in this part of London.
