Part of the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, Bullock is a neighbourhood within Markham, Ontario.

Transportation

Bullock enables home buyers to get around using a diversity of modes of transportation. Thanks to various nearby rapid transit stations on the Viva Purple, and around 10 nearby bus lines, Bullock is rather transit friendly. Many of the houses for sale in this area are located in places that are also convenient for those who travel as pedestrians; meeting daily needs is easy without the need to get in a car, and plenty of businesses are close at hand. Bullock is rather conducive to biking.

Services

In Bullock, parents and their schoolchildren will generally be able to get to schools and daycares by walking. Besides public schools, there are private elementary and secondary schools. When it comes to eating, it is very easy to get to the closest grocery store as a pedestrian in this part of Markham. In addition, Bullock is a good place in which to eat out, and there are also a few cafes in this area.

Character

Bullock offers a calm ambience and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time outdoors. This area is reasonably quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - although that is not the case closer to the railway line or Highway 407. Finally, it is very easy to get to parks from the majority of locations within the neighbourhood since there are about 20 of them nearby for residents to unwind in.

A majority of the housing growth in Bullock happened in the 1960s and 1970s.
