Delhi is a community within Norfolk County, Ontario, which is located in the Norfolk metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is an excellent medium of transportation in this part of Norfolk County. It is very easy to find a place to park, and many real estate listings are a reasonably short drive from the nearest highway. On the other hand, travelling by transit can be challenging in this part of the city due to the infrequent service. Thankfully, house owners benefit from a few bus lines, and it is convenient to find a nearby bus stop from most homes. Delhi is not very amenable to biking as there are a good number of elevation changes for cyclists to brave, and the bicycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive. This area is also not very conducive to people who like to travel as pedestrians because few common errands can be run without a car.

Services

It is typically feasible for property owners in this area to do their groceries without needing a car. A limited selection of restaurants and coffee shops can be found as well. With respect to education, both primary and secondary schools are straightforward to access as a pedestrian from anywhere in Delhi.

Delhi offers a relaxed ambience. Delhi is especially quiet overall, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue.

In Delhi, about three quarters of buildings are single detached homes, while small apartment buildings are also present in the housing stock. The buildings in this area are quite old, since about 45% of its dwellings were built before the 1960s, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 2000s. This community is primarily composed of two bedroom and three bedroom homes. About three quarters of the properties in the community are occupied by homeowners whereas the rest are rented.
