Walsh

Part of the Norfolk metropolitan area, Walsh is a community within Norfolk County, Ontario.

Transportation

The car is very often the favoured way to navigate Walsh. Parking is generally easy. However, travelling by transit can be challenging in this part of the city due to the infrequent service. Thankfully, property owners are served by a few bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is generally very close by. Bicycling is very difficult in Walsh as the cycling network is not very well-developed, and there are a good number of hills. This community is also not very conducive to people who like to get around by walking because many daily needs are very impractical to meet without a car.

Services

Primary schools are very easy to reach as a pedestrian from most homes for sale in this area. However, Walsh does not have any high schools. With regards to eating, in all but a very small number of cases, a vehicle is required to purchase groceries.

Character

Walsh offers a slower-paced ambience. Walsh is reasonably quiet overall, as there are low levels of noise from traffic.

Housing

Roughly all of the population of this community own their home while the rest are renters. Single detached homes and townhouses are the predominant housing type in this part of Norfolk County. A small minority of properties in this community were constructed before the 1960s. This community is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.
