Transportation

The favoured approach to move around in Monkland is very often driving. Finding a parking spot is easy. Monkland is not very conducive to people who prefer to get around by foot since most daily needs are very challenging to carry out without needing to resort to a car. This area is also not very appropriate for biking as the cycling infrastructure is quite bad, and there are a good number of slopes.

Services

Home buyers in this area almost always have to use a vehicle to travel to the nearest grocery store. That being said, a coffee shop is on average a rather short distance away, and residents of this part of the township are served by a few restaurants. With respect to education, Monkland does not contain any high schools or primary schools.
