Old Oakville is a neighbourhood within Oakville, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

It is convenient for people travelling by foot to get around in Old Oakville; many daily needs are convenient to meet without a car, and plenty of businesses are close by. This part of the town is also conducive to biking. This neighbourhood is very car friendly. It is easy to park, and it is a reasonably short car ride to the closest highway from any home in this part of Oakville. However, getting around by transit can be challenging in Old Oakville by reason of the service's low frequency. Nevertheless, there is the Oakville on the Lakeshore West. The neighbourhood is served by about 20 bus lines, and the closest bus stop is usually around the corner.

Services

In Old Oakville, families will usually be able to get to schools and daycares as pedestrians. Parents are served by public and private schools at both the primary and high school level. With respect to food, it is often an option for house buyers in this part of the town to purchase general and specialty groceries by walking.
