The neighbourhood of Cumberland can be found in the city of Ottawa, Ontario, which is situated in the Ottawa - Gatineau metropolitan area.

Transportation

This part of Ottawa is very car friendly. It is very easy to come across a place to park. In contrast, the transit infrastructure in Cumberland is rather limited. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is generally around the corner. Cumberland is not very appropriate for cycling because the bicycling infrastructure is quite bad, and the topography is not especially flat. It is also very difficult for pedestrians to get around in Cumberland since almost no daily errands can be run without the use of a vehicle.

Services

It is very rarely feasible for property owners in this part of Ottawa to buy groceries by walking. Regarding education, there are no high schools and no primary schools in this neighbourhood.

Character

Cumberland is a very good neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a slower-paced ambience. There are about 10 green spaces close by for residents to unwind in, like Wilfred Murray Park / R.J. Kennedy Community Hall and Arena and Cumberland Village Heritage Museum, making it easy to access them. Most areas in this neighbourhood are very quiet, as the streets are very tranquil.

Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing the vast majority of buildings in Cumberland, while duplexes are also present in the housing stock.
