Bay Ridges is a neighbourhood within Pickering, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is usually the best approach to move around in Bay Ridges. Nearby highways, such as Highway 401, are very easy to access from any location in Bay Ridges, and coming across a place to park is generally easy. In contrast, the transit system in this part of Pickering is rather limited. Nevertheless, Homeowners have access to a few bus lines, and most homes are very close to a bus stop. Walking in Bay Ridges is not very popular, although many common errands can be run without needing to use a car. Moving around by bicycle is also at times difficult in this area because there are few bike lanes, and there are a good number of slopes for cyclists to brave.

Services

The closest supermarket in this part of Pickering is typically only a rather short walk away. Likewise, there are a fair number of options for those who value nearby restaurants and cafes. As far as education is concerned, parents and their schoolchildren will find that wherever their property is located in this part of the city, daycares and primary schools are close by. On the other hand, there are no high schools in Bay Ridges.

Character
