Transportation

Driving is very often the preferred way to get around in this part of Pickering. It is very easy to park, and the city block layout is reasonably conducive to cars. In contrast, the transit infrastructure in Brock Industrial is not especially convenient. Thankfully, commuters can rely on the Ajax on the Lakeshore East. There are approximately 10 bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and it is especially convenient to reach a nearby bus stop from most houses. There are relatively few pedestrians out on the streets of this part of Pickering, despite the fact that meeting day-to-day needs is easy without a vehicle. Brock Industrial is also not very bike-friendly since this area is home to rather poor bicycling infrastructure. Thankfully, there are a limited number of elevation changes, and biking is more practical in certain sectors than others.
