Transportation

With 3 rapid transit stations (St Andrew Station - Northbound Platform, St Andrew Station - Southbound Platform and Osgoode Station - Southbound Platform) with access to the Line 1 (Yonge-University), and about 10 nearby bus lines, the public transit service in Cityplace is excellent. Driving is also a good transportation option in this area. It is a very short car ride to the nearest highway, such as F G Gardiner Expressway, from any location in this part of Toronto.

Both general and specialty grocery stores are typically accessible within a very short stroll from any location in this neighbourhood. Likewise, owing to over 250 restaurants and over 50 cafes, Cityplace is an excellent place in which to go out to eat. Regarding education, parents and their children will find that wherever their house is located in this neighbourhood, schools and daycares are nearby. Residents are served by public and private secondary schools.

Character

Those who enjoy a vibrant atmosphere and spending time outdoors will feel at home in Cityplace. It is very easy to find lively areas in this neighbourhood. There is a reasonably good selection of entertainment venues, there are masses of people around most of the time, and places to go out at night are well-distributed throughout the neighbourhood. The greenery in this part of Toronto is not very prominent; although, it is very easy to get to green spaces from the majority of locations in the neighbourhood since there are over 50 of them nearby for residents to unwind in.

The substantial percentage of large apartment buildings in the housing stock of this neighbourhood is an important part of its character.
