The former municipality of East York is part of the city of Toronto, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

Regardless of the medium of transportation, it is reasonably straightforward to travel in East York. East York features a very good transit network thanks to many nearby rapid transit stations on the Line 2 (Bloor - Danforth), and about 30 nearby bus lines. This former municipality is appropriate for biking.
