Transportation

No matter the mode of transportation, it is very simple to get around in Parkdale. It is especially convenient for pedestrians to navigate Parkdale; most common errands can be run without a vehicle, and plenty of businesses are rather close by. A very large number of people in the area use their bicycle because a bike share station is generally located in close proximity. The great transit infrastructure makes transit a viable option for many thanks to Exhibition with access to the Lakeshore West, and about 10 nearby bus lines. Driving is also a fairly good mode of transportation in this part of Toronto. Nearby highways, such as F G Gardiner Expressway, are very easy to drive to from any location in Parkdale.

Services

In Parkdale, families will almost always be able to access daycares and schools by walking. Besides public schools, there are private primary and high schools. With respect to food, property owners in Parkdale will value that a general and a specialty grocery store is always only a very short walk away. Parkdale is a "jack-of-all-trades" when it comes to the ambience of this neighbourhood. It is easy to find energetic streets in this neighbourhood. Even though a poor selection of entertainment venues can be found nearby, the streets are usually busy with people, and places to go out at night are well-distributed throughout the area. Main streets, such as Roncesvalles Avenue, are great for those who like going out. Parkdale is quiet overall, as there are low levels of noise from traffic, although that is not the case closer to F G Gardiner Expressway or one of the railway lines. The greenery in this area is reasonably prominent; parks, including Marilyn Bell Park and Budapest Park, are especially well-spread out and there are over 50 of them nearby for residents to relax in, making them very easy to reach from a large number of locations within Parkdale. Residents will also find that there are numerous tree-lined streets.

Housing
