Caistor

Part of Niagara Region, Caistor is a neighbourhood within West Lincoln, Ontario.

Transportation

Driving is usually the best transportation option in Caistor. Parking is generally easy. Despite the fact that there are a limited number of hills, the bicycle is a rather poor mode of transportation in Caistor as there are very few bike lanes. This neighbourhood is also not very convenient for those who prefer to travel on foot since almost no common errands can be run without a vehicle.

Services

Neither high schools nor primary schools are easy to get to as a pedestrian. Parents have the choice between public and private elementary schools. As far as food is concerned, in all cases, a car is needed to shop for groceries.

Character

Caistor is an excellent neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a slower-paced environment. Most areas in Caistor are very quiet, as the streets tend to be especially peaceful. Green spaces aren't well-situated, making it very difficult to get to them.

Housing

Nearly 95% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home whereas the rest are renters. The predominance of single detached homes in the housing stock of this neighbourhood is an important part of its character. Around one third of properties in this area were built in the 1960s and 1970s, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1980s. This part of the township is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes.
