Heritage on the Lake

The neighbourhood of Heritage on the Lake is part of the city of Montréal, Quebec, which is located in the Greater Montreal metropolitan area.

Transportation

The car is very often the preferred transportation option in this neighbourhood. It is very easy to park. However, Heritage on the Lake is not very transit friendly. Thankfully, residents are served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are typically very close by. Heritage on the Lake is fairly bike-friendly. A majority of the houses for sale in this part of the city are located in areas that are not very suitable for those who like to get around by foot as most daily needs are impractical to meet without a car.

Services

High schools and primary schools are not very numerous in Heritage on the Lake, and therefore not always within walking distance. Moreover, families may find it very difficult to get to daycares as pedestrians. In terms of eating, in all but a very small number of cases, a car is needed to shop for groceries.

Character

Heritage on the Lake offers a slower-paced ambience and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time outdoors. This part of the city features a small amount of greenery; to be more precise, residents will find that relatively few tree-lined streets are present. Nonetheless, green spaces are very well-located and there are a few of them nearby for residents to relax in, making it very easy to reach them. This area is also very quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour.

In Heritage on the Lake, about 45% of dwellings are single detached homes, and the remaining houses are mainly small apartment buildings. Most homes in this area were constructed after the year 2000, during its largest construction boom. This part of the city offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. About two thirds of the population of this neighbourhood own their home whereas renters make up the remainder.
