Sector C is a neighbourhood within Brossard, Quebec, which is located in the Greater Montreal metropolitan area.

Transportation

Sector C is a very convenient part of Brossard for getting around by car. Most real estate listings are a reasonably short drive from the nearest highway, such as Autoroute de l'Acier, and it is convenient to access a parking spot. In contrast, the public transit network in this area is sometimes poor. Nevertheless, property owners can rely on Du Quartier and Brossard on the Gare Centrale - Brossard. The neighbourhood is linked by around 40 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most residences. Traveling by walking in this neighbourhood is not very popular, even though meeting daily needs is easy without a car. In contrast, it is convenient to commute by bike in sector C as this area boasts reasonably good bicycling infrastructure, and there are not many elevation changes to challenge cyclists.

Services

It is a short walk to access daycares from most homes for sale in sector C. However, there are only a few primary schools in sector C and accordingly they can be an extended stroll away. Likewise, this part of Brossard does not have any high schools. In terms of eating, it is challenging to access the closest grocery store as a pedestrian in sector C. There are also a limited number of choices for those who value restaurants and cafes in close proximity.

Character

Sector C offers a slower-paced environment and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time outdoors. There is almost no greenery in this neighbourhood; although, there are around 40 public green spaces nearby for residents to enjoy, such as Grand Parc Urbain, and they are very well-spread out, which makes it easy to reach them. This area is very quiet overall, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic - however some parts can be quite loud, especially closer to Autoroute de l'Acier or Autoroute des Cantons-de-l'Est.

Housing

In sector C, the majority of buildings are small apartment buildings, and the remaining properties are mainly single detached homes and townhouses. This part of the city is primarily composed of one bedroom and two bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy roughly two thirds of the dwellings in sector C and the remainder are rented. A majority of the housing growth in this area has taken place after the year 2000.
