Transportation

Travelling by car is very easy in sector Y. It is a very short drive to the closest highway, such as Autoroute de l'Acier, from anywhere in this neighbourhood, and finding a place to park is quite easy. On the other hand, the public transit access in sector Y is sometimes poor. Thankfully, property owners are served by Brossard and Du Quartier on the Gare Centrale - Brossard. There are approximately 20 bus lines, and bus stops are generally close by. Sector Y is not very suited for cycling as the bicycling network is not very extensive. Nonetheless, bicycling is facilitated by the generally flat terrain. It is inconvenient for pedestrians to move around in sector Y because running common errands is occasionally difficult without needing to use a vehicle.

There are only a very small number of primary schools in this part of Brossard and accordingly they can be a very long walk away. Furthermore, sector Y does not have any high schools. In sector Y, roughly half of dwellings are small apartment buildings, while large apartment buildings and single detached homes are the main alternatives in the housing stock. This neighbourhood experienced its biggest construction boom following the year 2000, so most of the available properties are from this era.
