The community of Donkin is part of the municipality of Cape Breton Municipality, Nova Scotia, which is located in the Cape Breton metropolitan area.

Transportation

Moving around by car is especially convenient in this area. It is very easy to access a parking spot. The bicycle is a rather limited means of transportation in Donkin because there are a good number of slopes to challenge cyclists, and the cycling network is quite poor. This area is also not very conducive to pedestrians as almost no daily errands can be run without a car.
