The community of Caribou Mines is part of the municipality of Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is situated in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

Caribou Mines is particularly car friendly. It is especially convenient to come across a parking spot. This part of the municipality is not very well-suited for those who travel on foot since almost no daily errands can be run without a car.
