Situated within the Greater Halifax metropolitan area, Long Lake is a community in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

The favoured transportation option in this part of Halifax is very often a car. Finding a place to park is easy. This part of the municipality is not very cycling-friendly because there are a good number of hills for cyclists to brave, and there are very few bike lanes. Getting around as a pedestrian is also not very feasible for property owners in this community as almost no daily errands can be run without the need to use a car.

In all but a very small number of cases, a vehicle is needed in this part of Halifax to access the nearest grocery store. When it comes to education, there are no high schools and no primary schools in this part of the municipality.

Long Lake offers a relaxed atmosphere. The noise levels in Long Lake are very low, as the streets are very tranquil. Parks aren't well-situated, which makes them very difficult to reach from the majority of locations in this part of the municipality.
