Transportation

Moving around by car is very easy in Governor Lake. It is especially convenient to park. A majority of the houses for sale in this part of the municipality are located in places that are not very well-suited for people who get around on foot since most daily needs are practically impossible to carry out without a car. Biking is also difficult in Governor Lake as this community has quite poor cycling infrastructure, and the topography is not particularly flat.

People who prefer a slower-paced atmosphere will enjoy Governor Lake. Most areas in Governor Lake are especially quiet, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic. Public green spaces aren't well-distributed, making it very hard to access them. Still, there are a few parks close by for residents to discover, including Twelve Mile Stream Wilderness Area and Abraham Lake Nature Reserve.

Housing

Roughly 95% of the units in the community are occupied by homeowners and 5% are rented. Single detached homes and townhouses are the predominant housing type in this area. Around half of properties in this community were built pre-1960, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 1990s. This area also has a variety of housing sizes - this community is notable for those looking for three bedroom homes.
