Green Village is a neighbourhood within Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is located in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

People who value residing in a walkable community will be pleased with the reasonably pedestrian-friendly character of this area; running daily errands is easy without a car. On the other hand, moving around by bicycle is occasionally challenging in this part of Halifax because the bicycling infrastructure is somewhat poor, and there are a good number of hills. Getting around by public transit is occasionally difficult in this area. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is connected by approximately 10 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most properties. In contrast, this area is especially car friendly. It is a very short car ride to the nearest highway from any home in this part of the municipality, and coming across a parking spot is easy.

Parents and their children will welcome that wherever their house is situated in Green Village, daycares and primary schools are nearby. However, this area does not have any high schools. With respect to eating, a supermarket is usually reachable within a very short walk from anywhere in Green Village. In addition, it is convenient to reach the closest cafe without needing to get in a car, and residents of Green Village can enjoy a few restaurants as well. Property owners have access to a fair number of clothing stores within a short distance.

Green Village offers a vast selection of green spaces to enjoy, as well as some areas with a vibrant ambience.
