North Preston
Part of the Greater Halifax metropolitan area, North Preston is a community within Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Transportation
North Preston is an extraordinarily good part of Halifax for travelling by car. It is very easy to access a place to park. In contrast, public transit users may experience few choices in North Preston due to the infrequent service. Nevertheless, the community is linked by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most properties. It is very impractical for pedestrians to navigate North Preston since almost no daily errands can be run without a vehicle. Moving around by bicycle is also very hard in this area because there are very few bike lanes, and the topography is not very flat.
Services
Primary schools and daycares are especially easy to reach as a pedestrian from any location in this part of the municipality. However, North Preston does not have any high schools. Concerning food, in all cases, a car is required in this part of the municipality to access the nearest grocery store.
Character
Home buyers who prefer a relaxed ambience will enjoy North Preston. Reaching parks in the community, such as Waverley - Salmon River Long Lake Wilderness Area, is easy since there are a few of them nearby for residents to visit. This community is also wonderful for those who prefer a quiet atmosphere, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic.
