The neighbourhood of Bayview is part of the city of Burlington, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Hamilton metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is a great mode of transportation in this neighbourhood. Nearby highways, such as Highway 403, are rather easy to access from any home in Bayview, and it is convenient to come across a parking spot. On the other hand, the public transit service in this part of the city is not especially frequent. Thankfully, homeowners benefit from the Aldershot on the Lakeshore West. House owners have access to a few bus lines, and bus stops are commonly very close by. Bayview is not particularly suited for cycling since the bicycling infrastructure is fairly poor, and there is a considerable amount of slopes. This neighbourhood is also not very well-suited for people who prefer to get around on foot because carrying out daily needs is at times challenging without the need for a vehicle.

Services

A supermarket is ordinarily reachable within a very long stroll from any location in this neighbourhood. There are also a limited number of opportunities for those who appreciate close by restaurants and cafes. In terms of education, schools and daycares are very easy to get to without needing a car from most homes for sale in Bayview. Families have the choice between public and private primary schools.

Character

Bayview offers a relaxed environment and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time outdoors. Public green spaces, like LaSalle Park and Hidden Valley Park, are very well-spread out and there are around 10 of them nearby for residents to unwind in, resulting in them being easy to reach from most locations within the neighbourhood. Most areas in this part of Burlington are very quiet, as the streets are usually very calm.

Housing

About 40% of buildings are large apartment buildings, making it easy to find apartments in Bayview, and the remainder are mainly single detached homes. Around half of homes in this area were constructed following the year 2000, while the majority of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1960s. This neighbourhood has a good selection of unit sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. The split between homeowners and renters is about even.
