Situated in the Greater Hamilton metropolitan area, Pleasant View is a neighbourhood within Hamilton, Ontario.
Transportation
Cars are a great transportation option in Pleasant View. It is very convenient to access a parking spot, and most homes for sale are a short car ride from the nearest highway, such as Highway 6. In contrast, travelling by public transit is very hard in Pleasant View. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines passing through the neighbourhood. Bicycling is challenging in Pleasant View since the cycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive, and there is a significant amount of elevation changes. Traveling as a pedestrian is also not very convenient for house buyers in this neighbourhood as many daily needs are impractical to meet without a vehicle.
Services
There are only a very small number of primary schools in this part of Hamilton and accordingly they can be a very long stroll away. In addition, Pleasant View does not have any high schools. Furthermore, daycares are not numerous and thus tend to require a very long walk to get to. Concerning food, home buyers in this neighbourhood almost always have to turn to a car to buy groceries. There are a few options for those who value nearby restaurants.

Pleasant View offers a relaxed environment. Pleasant View is especially quiet overall, as there are low levels of noise from traffic near Highway 6. Public green spaces aren't well-spread out, which makes it occasionally hard to reach them from a large number of locations in this part of the city. Still, there are a few parks nearby for residents to check out.
Housing
Pleasant View experienced its largest construction boom before the 1960s, so most of the available properties are from this time period. The sizeable percentage of single detached homes in the housing stock of this part of Hamilton is an important part of its character. Roughly 95% of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners while the rest are rented. This part of the city offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes.
