Transportation

Portlands permits homeowners to get around using a variety of modes of transportation. This neighbourhood is a fairly convenient part of Toronto for travelling by public transit by reason of approximately 20 nearby bus lines. Portlands will also attract people who appreciate being able to walk everywhere as it is moderately geared towards traveling on foot; most daily errands can be run without a car, and there are also a good number of businesses in proximity. Portlands is a very convenient part of Toronto for bike riders. For instance, there is always a bike-share station close by, there are few hills to confront cyclists, and the bicycling infrastructure is fairly good.

Services

Primary schools and daycares are easy to access without needing a vehicle from most homes for sale in Portlands. However, it can be challenging to reach high schools on foot. Families have the choice between public and private elementary schools.
