Sheridan Park

Part of the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, Sheridan Park is a neighbourhood within Mississauga, Ontario.

Transportation

Driving is an excellent medium of transportation in this part of Mississauga. The majority of houses for sale are a very short car ride from the closest highway, such as Queen Elizabeth Way, and it is very easy to access a place to park. However, Sheridan Park is not especially transit friendly. Nevertheless, rapid transit stations, including Erin Mills Pky / Fowler Dr and Erin Mills Pky / Leanne Blvd on the University Express, are commonly a short walk away from the greater part of properties in the neighbourhood. Property owners are served by a few bus lines, and most homes are very close to a bus stop. Traveling by walking is not very common in this neighbourhood, although running daily errands is easy without a vehicle. Even though a few bike-friendly areas can be found, this area is also not very cycling-friendly since there are a good number of hills to challenge cyclists, and the bicycling network is not particularly extensive.

Services

Some, but not all, property owners in this area will reside within a short distance of the nearest grocery store. There are also a limited number of options for those who appreciate close by restaurants and cafes. Concerning education, in this area, families will usually be able to reach schools and daycares as pedestrians. In addition to public schools, there are private primary and high schools.

Character

A highlight of Sheridan Park is its wide selection of green spaces. It is very easy to reach parks from numerous locations in the neighbourhood since there are about 20 of them close by for residents to enjoy. Lastly, this area can be relatively noisy, as during busier hours of the day, traffic can occasionally be loud.

Housing

Roughly 95% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and renters make up the remainder. The majority of the housing stock of this neighbourhood consists of townhouses and single detached homes, and the remaining dwellings are mainly townhouses. This part of the city experienced its biggest building boom in the 1960s and 1970s, so most of the available properties are from this era. This area is especially good for those looking for four or more bedroom homes.
