The neighbourhood of Fairfield can be found in the city of Kitchener, Ontario, which is situated in the Kitchener - Cambridge - Waterloo metropolitan area.

Transportation

It is convenient for pedestrians to get around in Fairfield; meeting daily needs is easy without the need to use a car, and various businesses are fairly close at hand. Fairfield is also rather conducive to bicycling since this part of Kitchener boasts reasonably good cycling infrastructure, and riding a bike is facilitated by the generally flat terrain. Fairfield is very car friendly. It is easy to come across a place to park, and many homes for sale are a short drive from the nearest highway, such as Highway 85. In contrast, Fairfield is not especially transit friendly. Nonetheless, house owners benefit from the Kitchener with access to the Kitchener. Residents are served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most properties.
