Part of the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, Fenside is a neighbourhood within Toronto, Ontario.

Transportation

Fenside allows property owners to get around by different means of transportation. Fenside is home to a reasonably good public transit network. In particular, there are approximately 10 bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is usually around the corner. It is also easy for pedestrians to move around in Fenside; most daily needs are convenient to meet without the use of a vehicle, and numerous businesses are reasonably close at hand. The bicycle is a somewhat poor mode of transportation in this part of the city since the cycling network is fairly poor. Nevertheless, some bike-friendly areas exist, and there are a limited number of elevation changes for cyclists to brave.

Services

It is convenient to access the nearest supermarket on foot from any home in Fenside. Additionally, a restaurant is often just around the corner, and a limited selection of coffee shops can be found as well. This neighbourhood has many areas that are very calm and quiet, although other spots can be noisy, especially closer to Don Valley Parkway or Highway 404.

Most of the housing growth in Fenside took place between 1960 and 1980. In this neighbourhood, around half of dwellings are large apartment buildings, while small apartment buildings and townhouses make up most of the remaining housing stock.
