The neighbourhood of sector I is part of the city of Brossard, Quebec, which is located in the Greater Montreal metropolitan area.

Transportation

This neighbourhood will draw home buyers that appreciate several modes of transportation. Sector I is moderately transit friendly. There are around 30 bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and most properties are very close to a bus stop. On the other hand, there are relatively few pedestrians out on the streets of sector I, although many common errands can be run without a car. Commuting by bicycle is convenient in sector I since this neighbourhood has reasonably good cycling infrastructure, and there are few hills to challenge cyclists. Cars are also an excellent transportation option in sector I. Many houses for sale are a very short drive from the nearest highway, and it is straightforward to park.

Services

The closest supermarket in this neighbourhood is usually only a very short distance away. A limited variety of restaurants is available in sector I as well. Moreover, it is a reasonably short walk to a decent selection of clothing stores. Regarding education, parents and their children will value that no matter where their property is situated in this neighbourhood, daycares are nearby. On the other hand, there are only a few primary schools in this neighbourhood and accordingly they can be an extended distance away. Additionally, sector I does not have any high schools.

Character

There are a lot of green spaces to enjoy in sector I. More specifically, it is easy to reach parks in the neighbourhood since there are about 20 of them nearby for residents to unwind in. However, the majority of streets have bad tree coverage. Lastly, as there are few people out and about on the streets, this area is relatively quiet, although those who are near the railway line may experience more noise.

Housing

In sector I, around two thirds of dwellings are small apartment buildings, and the remainder are mainly large apartment buildings and single detached homes. A majority of the housing growth in this neighbourhood has occurred after the year 2000. This part of Brossard offers mainly one bedroom and two bedroom homes. About two thirds of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and the remainder are renters.
